My guest today is someone who you guys have requested so many times and, fortunately, I had the opportunity to sit down with him at SHOT Show in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago. ![]() “Training is outrageously more important than what model of gun you get.” Tweet That - John Lovell John Lovell We discuss what it means to be strong and smart, how to apply philosophy practically in our day to day lives, a basic introduction into firearms for everyday carry, and what it means and how to become a Warrior Poet. This has been a conversation a long time in the works and John has been requested by you guys countless times. My guest today, John Lovell, founder of Warrior Poet Society, makes the case for why and how we, as men can be both. For a long time, I was under the impression that men are either one or the other – the strong, rugged archetype or the smart, intellectual archetype. I would like to train with the man himself John Lovell also but I would train anything Paul and Josh teach and feel just as warm and tingly inside as I would with John Lovell. It seems to me that a lot of men have a hard time striking the balance between warrior and philosopher. If you're holding off on taking these classes like I was just because you want "John Lovell" as an instructor I'm here to say Paul and Josh were absolutely great. Josh is a great instructor and when you get Paul and Josh together they make the class so entertaining and fun at the same time they are teaching you all the fundamentals and advanced skills to become a better protector. I wasn't expecting Josh to be there but what a treat to have him there. Paul is great at what he does and would highly recommend any class he teaches. Not only the skills that was taught with both pistol and rifle but the way they teach is so easy to understand. ![]() Just finished taking pistol 1&2 and rifle 1,2&3 with Paul & Josh and all I can say is what an amazing week.
